    hi!
i`ve got one problem. i have PC with LAN network cable, and a little time ago i bought a new notebook (HP Pavilion dv6000). LAN cable is working very good on my PC, but when i connect it to my notebook, it shows that it is connected but it isn`t. I wrote manually IP, DNS e.t.c. - the same numbers which were on PC. i tried OBTAIN IP AUTOMATICALLY.
what could be the problem??
    thanks

Try uninstalling and reinstalling your NIC + update your drivers if possible.

Just connect it to the your port on your notebook.Make sure your nic is enabled via computer management>network adapters.
