    Hello.
I bought Dell Insprion9300 with the wirless network card
Im currently using desktop with Cox cable for internet
How can I connect internet or cable to my laptop? Whenever I connect the the cable to my notebook. It says "limited or no connectivity" and "network did not assign a network address to the computer"
Would you tell me the solution for this. Oh. and i have
Broadcom 440x 10/100 integrated controller in my laptop.

The first thing i would do is reset your router if you have one.
The next step would be to go to the network connections and right-click on the connection you are having problems with, this will bring up a little menu next to it. From there click on repair connection and it should work.

    cheers!

Check the connection port on your laptop it could be damaged. And make sure that the laptop is part of you network, workgroup etc... Also maybe try renew and release ip address.

Sounds like you dont have a router; but rather are using the little black box they gave you. What you could try is click start>run and type cmd and in the command prompt type ipconfig /release "local area connection" (use quotations); and after that type ipconfig /renew "local area connection" . You have released and renewed the IP address; and if I am correct and you arent using a router but the black box (modem/bridge) this will re asign the public IP address to your pc. But I would recomend getting a router and using dhcp; and if you have a router (dlink/netgear/linksys) make sure dhcp is turned on.
