    i was unaware of this but it seems my linksys wireless g card doesnt fit my inspiron 1520 am i just pushing the card in wrong or did i reallly just buy the wrong card?

    You are probably trying to use a PCMCIA card, which looks like this:

    And you need an ExpressCard, which looks like this:
