    i need to buy a fast wireless router, but don't wish to spend more than $50 give or take.
    i download alot of games, and play alot too, so something fast and stable.

    preferably something from newegg..

    If you want 802.11n, you will need to spend a little more than $50. If you want 802.11g, I second the WRT54g - I had one for years and it was the best "G" router I've ever seen.

    Make sure you get one that is DD-WRT supported.....

    Yeah either get a Linksys then put DD-WRT on it. Or try a D-Link router, I have had good experiences with mine. Has never dropped internet unlike the Linksys gaming router my friend had that actually would not broadcast internet anymore. By the way my router is a DIR-625. If I'm right you should be able to get this off Newegg for around $50.
