    can connect to certain sites

    So i used to be able to see these sites, and now if i try to go to them they timeout. I can access any other site on the net, but not these two.

    Any ideas??

    virus scan by avari came up with nothing, ad-aware came up with nothing, also ran ccleaner and got nothing

    Disconnect power from both your modem and router, wait 30 seconds then reconnect everything.

    After that, the problem should be solved.

    tried jackluo923s suggestion, but no luck. I had tried that a while back. But it doesnt make since that its only these two sites (so far)

    can you ping 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 or whatever the default gate way your router has?

    This sounds like there's a problem with the settings on your router not forwarding specific DNS addresses.

    If pinging your router does not time out, I suggest resetting the router by pressing the reset swtich on the back of the router. Then Disconnect power for both router and modem and restart them again.

    i pinged my default gateway and lost 0 packets

    hm.. that's weird.. then

    It's probably your ISP's fault then.

    Try using this proxy: http://www.modemparty.com/
    and go to the site's that are inaccessible.
