    i simply can not get the wifes toshiba to connect to the buffalo router mo matter the wep settings i try?? i am running tomato on the router con someone please help me if possible?? i can explain more in detail if someone can help.. thanks very much

    Do you have MAC filtering on perhaps?

    i tried with and without that turned on still will not connect.. all i get is limited connectivity

    should i be using wpa2 instead also?? some have said this is much better

    That's what I wanted to ask- why do you need WEP- it's gonna take the attacker less time to crack it than you to set it up.
    Try WPA2-PSK (Personal) with AES cipher (if you have choice between AES and TKIP)

    thanks the wpa2-personal works great and is so much easier to setup..

    now i just need to learn some more on qos since whenever im using the internet my vonage just plain sucks and it never did before
