there is a comcast cable modem already installed and working. It has 4 LAN ports and no wifi build in it (almost sure, although I haven't spent too much time on it). It's a small business network modem of some sort that comcast provided long time ago, I guess, but it works so there's internet when you connect to it via LAN cable.
so I have 2wire DSL modem from AT&T that has wifi-G build in, which I'm trying to setup as a wifi router so that people can enjoy wireless internet. Well apparently things are not going so easy so I'm going to need some help.
how do I configure the DSL modem so that all wifi connections it receives should be routed to one of its LAN ports, which in turn will be connected to one of the cable modem ports ?
the model of the 2wire is 2701HG-B, and I think it should be via these menus:
:home network / advanced settings/
- public routed subinterface
- public proxied subnet (NAT/Routed)
any help would be nice. 10x

See this. It should work more or less in the same manner for you.

thanks a bunch, I made it to work finally
what I didn't know was that the APs IP (the DSL modem) must be outside the DHCP of the LAN router/modem.
going to install it now, as I made it to work with my home router first
yey, reps
EDIT:
so the other modem uses different DHCP range that starts with 10.x.x.x , and I tested the 2wire on my router that uses 192.168.x.x, so I configured the 2wire outside my routers range (with 192.x.x.x) and I now cant access it while it's connected to the other modem, which is the desired destination for the 2wire, LOL. But it works for the internet so I'll just leave it like that. The good side will be that people will not be able to mess with it. And I guess I dont want to reset the 2wire again to give it default IP that starts with 10.x.x.x . I couldn't login into that modem anyways as somebody set password there, so I dont really know its DHCP range (and dont want to reset that one either). But there is working wifi now so it's all good
can I use 2wire DSL modem as a wifi router only?
