I Have A Gateway Mx6454 Laptop With Broadcom Wirless Untility Installed. Does Anyone Know If I Can Still Use The Windows Wireless Or Do I Have To Uninstall Broadcom Utility First. I Have Tried To To Set Up A Network Thatshows A Good Signal And I Put In The Proper Network Key, But When I Try To Connect, It Does Not Pick It Up?

You should be able to use the installed wireless utility. If you prefer that Windows controls wireless, you can either uninstall the tool (NOT the driver) or tell the utility (in the preferences) to stop monitoring wi-fi.

If it stopped the windows utility, you can start it back up from admin tools -> services.

I have a Buffalo wireless router that is set to its most secure automatic configuration (WPA-AES) & delivering connections to 3 wireless buffalo adaptors in 3 desktop pc's! I managed to get my broadcom powered laptop connected via windows wireless zero configuration by copying the details from the router setup page! it hasn't failed to connect since.

you may need to enable (set to auto & start) wireless zero config in >control panel\admin tools\services before windows will allow any configuring.
