This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     Only thing is, it wasn't a Broadcom chipset, but Ralink. Same basic design principle though. One side connects over USB and one side connects over PCI-e. Only problem with that design is that some notebooks don't come with fully enabled Mini-PCIe or half Mini-PCIe headers. Usually only the PCI-e side is connected, and the WiFi will work, leaving the Bluetooth side completely useless.
