i have a asus g73s and i recently got bluedio r+ wireless headphones from amazon. To add to the story I picked up a blue tooth receiver a few weeks ago. Now the headphones and this receiver both connect to my phone just fine. THe receiver i had issues with on the pc but would finally connect and work.

Now the head phones, I have paired these, set the headphones to connect and try to connect on the laptop and it rejects it immediately. I'm not sure if there are workarounds or some inherent problem? These headphones say it is bluetooth 4.0, i dont know what that means, i know very little about bluetooth. Would i have to find a driver to add to my pc?

    thanks for any help,

    bob

Bluetooth connectivity on older machines such as yours is notoriously unreliable, especially if you're running Windows 7. I would have similar issues with my former MacBook Pro, which was of similar vintage: It worked great in OS X but terribly in a Boot Camp Windows 7 installation.

If you have an Intel 7265/3165/7260/3160 WiFi/Bluetooth card and Windows 8.1/10, you could try installing the aptX driver available here:

If that doesn't work, you may want to purchase a cheap USB Bluetooth 4.0 adapter from Amazon.
