    hey guys i want to connect 2 laps(wifi) to play black ops . so if u can please tell me hw to do it without using the internet. is it possibly to do it through an ad hoc network?

    yes you can.

    Just create a "computer-to-computer" network using the control panel's "network and sharing center"

    When all of your friends have connected, open the black ops server browser and select "local"

    You will need to start steam in "offline mode"

    where is the server browser located?? all i can see is that i hv a multiplayer game icon. i've searched in the instalation folder but there isn't any server file. please help me with this
