I have a belkin wireless g network adapter and im trying to get it to work with a 64 bit windows 7 i have tried the drivers but when i plug it in it shows up under unknown device. I have scowered the internet for fixes any help would be amazing
-
It's not FSD7050 but F 5D7050.
There are several revisions of this card- from 1xxx to 5xxx.
Win 7 64bit driver is available here for revisions 3xxx, 4xxx and 5xxx.
If you have revision 1xxx or 2xxx you're out of luck. -
sorry about that typo it was early in the morning and i was on my phone anyways i have the 4xxx version and i have tried those drivers and for some reason my dongle still comes up as an unknown device
-
Maybe you need to install them manually- via device manager/update driver and manually navigate to a proper inf file.
-
just tried that i think the dongle is just busted since when i connect it windows says its malfunctioned when i plug it in
-
Check it on another machine- specifically one that doesn't work on Win 7.
-
i currently don't have one that doesn't work on win 7 sadly
now this is weird i have windows 7 64 bit on my alienware laptop and my dell desktop it works with my desktop but not with my laptop umm -
So it's some sort of a Windows issue- not hardware one.
-
im guessing so because i am running the exact same version on my desktop as i am my laptop and on my desktop when i plug it in it says WLAN 2.0 on my laptop it calls it an unknown device. So i install the drivers on my desktop and it works fine but not on my laptop.
