Ok it seems when I am in my room which is next to the room with th wifi router, my wifi always drops. when it is plugged in it never drops. But when I go farther away I get better connection. Is it possible to be to close to a wifi router?

are there any other wifi routers around? Maybe depending on the frequency, it can get in the way of your router's range and performance.

The routers are probably interfering, move them apart. Well since you dont have access to your neighbors house(or do you?) your going to have to change the location of yours just to keep the signals from crashing.

Yeah, if you change the channels that might do it. What is it set to now?
