    bcmwl6.sys causing blue screen: driver_irql_not_less_or_equal?

    Hi, I'm new to the forums and am not exactly sure where I should post this, but I hope someone can help.

    My computer recently had many problems, and it doesn't get internet anymore. It can't find my family's working internet router, so I got a new laptop to get internet on and I kept the old one for gaming.

    However, at least once a day I get this error message:
    driver_irql_not_less_or_equal

    (blah blah blah, if this is the first time you've seen this restart your computer, if you've installed any hardware or software lately... blah blah blah)

    bcmwl6.sys address c5845FA0, base at c5808000, datestamp 458843cb

    I believe that bcmwl6.sys has something to do with the Broadcom Wireless driver, if I'm not mistaken (I'm not very good with computers).

    However, I don't get internet on my laptop anymore...so, what's that all about? Like I said, I'm not good with computers, and I don't really understand what this is all about, haha.


    If I need to update with more information, I'll be happy to.

    yep.. that is the driver for your wireless adapter. if you have a thumb drive, download the latest driver and install it to your laptop. It is also possible you downloaded one from windows update--if that is the case, try rolling the driver back

    Right clcik MY COMPUTER, choose MANAGE, choose Device Manager, go to network adapters, double click you adapter, go to the driver tab, and choose ROLL BACK DRIVER
