    I just installed Win Xp on my Acer 5610z, everything works but the wireless lan , and I acannot find the correct version of the driver (4.10.40.0) I have been to everysight and not found...can anyone help????

    You got the driver from the Acer site? Why does it need to be the 4.10.40.0 version of the driver... wouldn't a newer version be better?

    Acer lappies need their own version of XP
    The Acer OEM XP install includes a special SW switch to enable the WIFI card.
    Without it the WIFI won't work even if the manual switch is turned on.

    A most ridiculous thing as you can never update to a newer OS from scratch without this SW switch.
    Took quite some googling to work out why my Mothers Acer refused to work with a full version of XP
