Make sure you have the latest driver on the router, most are shipped with out of date firmware. It should be setup for mixed mode. Then on your nb set it to N only. Configure the router sec to be WPA2 Personal (aes), N will not work with TKIP and does not like WEP. Then scan for your SSID and enter the required key. See if that helps. You should go back to the drivers that came with your card if you got an error.

    See if that helps.

I have the same exact card, the AR5008, and more specifically, the AR5BXB72, and I get 300Mbps with no problem. Driver .173. I tried .180 and it didn't work as well...Will try again though. But the driver .173 from 10/17/2007 works GREAT!!

I used to get 130Mbps, until I put it on Auto 20/40, by the way. I use a D-Link DAP-1353 Access Point. ;)

    Hope this helps! :)
