This is strange since I upgrade my WRT54G no dropping. This morning I was dropping like crazy.

I checked my network and I was connected to linksys ssid was not Miami Dolphins Rules so I logged in to my router and wep was disable and the ssid was at default.

I have not reset my router since I setup Tomato 1.23 any ideas?

Just to make sure I have it straight - you upgraded the firmware in your router to Tomato 1.23, correct? Before that you were using an earlier version of Tomato, correct?

If so, it's entirely possible that the upgrade caused all of the adjustable configuration options to reset to their defaults, which would include SSID and encryption.

Many people have said that Tomato will help correct these connection drops and router reset problems. looks like it fixed yours. And like Shyster1 said since you upgraded the firmware, your settings reset.

What I was saying it reset itself after upgrading a couple days later.

UPDATE: It happen again today I scan with MediaMonkey music over my network and when it was done I got kicked off. I was then logon to wireless network (name) so I went in to my router and ssid said wireless and security was disable.

Think there a issue with my router?

Yeah, that doesn't sound normal. Are you getting any kind of power surges, or outages? Maybe this is causing the problem? I have shut off my router for a couple days and I never lost info. You could try another firmware, apparently there are a few open source ones to choose from other than DD-WRT and Tomato or try a different version of Tomato and see if that is any better. If that doesn't work then you might want to look into getting a new router.

Excellent! Hope the proper performance continues. Let us know how it goes.

When I get my Linksys WRT54GS in a couple of days I will be able to play with it and Tomato first hand and see what I get :)

I think my issue was version 1.23 because with 1.22 I rescan my network adding music to MediaMonkey (Media Player) and I wasn't disconnected.

    Isn't tomato 1.23 a bit outdated?

I'm currently using Version 1.25.8632 vpn3 on my asus Wl520GU with multiple simultaneous SAMBA NAS + printer server support.
