I have not used that specific router, but I have had two NetGear routers. Both have worked quite well. With Costco's return policy, how can you go wrong.

I been reading stuff on netgear routers... some people claim that with netgear wireless routers, when turn on the attena, wired connections drop bandwidth by a lot( say desktop pc) do you experience this problem with your netgear wireless routers ?

I have the WGU624. From the looks and specs of the WGT that you are interested in, I'd have to say they are pretty much the same. I love my WGU624 but then again its the only router I've had. I've had this for about 1 yr now and I have not had one problem with it. Not even a single dropped connection either. I have it placed upstairs with my desktop and I'm able to connect with my laptop all over the house, backyard and even down around the corner of the block (approx. 350'). Now I do have the Atheros card in my laptop and I think that helps but as far as the router goes, I have nothing but praise for it. Like ZaZ says, with it being at Costco, why not give it a shot and if not 100% happy bring the thing back.
As far as you question about drop in bandwidth on a wired connection, I have not run into that. I have SBC dsl and I run speed tests all the time on my wired desktop. I get about the same #'s before the router as I do now. 2.5mb down and 425 up.

I bought this router and usb adaptor. setup was smooth and easy. no problem at all. I do have a question if anyone can help. It seems I cant establish 108 Mbps on router and the bundled special 108 Mbps adaptor. seems to hit 54 max according to netgear's own connection software. I do have 108 Mbps option turned on in router.. any ideas ? thanks in advance.
