having issues with pages "waiting" and video's to buffer...most videos seem to load about 1/3rd then stop...also downloads do the same...they will transfer for some time,...then stop transfering,..i have to exit the downloads then go back into it several times...i reformatted and still have the same issues....any ideas?...this is on my dell ispiron 1501 laptop wireless of my comcast conection...home computer desktop works great...other laptop in the house sharing the same wireless connection is fine as well,..so im convinced its my dell laptop, do to every other comp. in the house not having this issue.

im running xp with an amd duo prossesor...also on firfox and ie...same issues...

i have hooked up to router via ethernet cable and everything works great,..but when i go back to wireless problem comes back.
ive ran winsock and everything is fine
ran a hijack this and no malware or any issues there

i know for sure its not the router as the other laptop sitting next to me has no issues on wireless
its a 1390 wlan card from dell,..is it possible for the card to stop working, then work again??...sometimes it loads pages just fine,...then sometimes i have to reload the page3-5 times just for it to come up...

i dont want to buy another card and install it for no reason...
im currently running firfox latest edition,..with speed tweeks

are you using the latest driver for you wifi card? and if so maybe it is dying. they are pretty cheap. and as i see it is only a 802.11b card i would sujject upgrading to a b/g card. the card is old and could very well have issues.

    start > run
    type
    CMD
    <enter>

    type
    ipconfig /all > c:\ipconfig.txt
    < enter >

Now go to the root of your C: drive and paste the contents of ipconfig.txt

Also, can we assume it was working properly BEFORE you reinstalled Windows?

    oh...well, that's no good.

We are definitely moving from Operating System and software problem to hardware problem

It is probably a failing network adapter, then. You could try reseating it in its slot. It could also possible be a disconnected antenna.
I'd be curious what this tool shows

    http://www.xirrus.com/library/wifitools.php

Download while connected via wire and tell us what kind of signal strength it reveals over a period of time (bottom graph)
