    Hello,
I got a Sony Vaio with a built in wireless card. i also have a 2.4Ghz Yagi antenna which I want to use to connect with my cousin who lives 200m away. now, the thing is: the yagi connects to the lappi with a usb. apparently theres no way that the built in will recognize the antena(or will it?) so I was thinking in buying an external wireless card that supports the yagi. my concern is will the tow cards conflict with each other or what will happen cuz I've never tried smth like this and want to kind of pre-prepare.
    thanks

You can disable the built-in wireless card under the Device Manager. That should stop any conflict problems.

    Hope this helps.

I did this once. One time, I used my old PCMCIA wifi card, and it disable the internal one automaticaly. BUT yeah, you should disable the internal one first.

ok, thankx...i hadn't thought of BIOS honestly...but actually while surfing the forum i ran into: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?p=1660246 . he had used the VGA port to connect an external amp. and configured it so that the card would recognize it. so I'm thinking to do the same, but haven't got an idea on how to make the card recongize the yagi through the VGA port. anybody got an idea?
