    acer aspire 5920 wifi connection is always off when i start my laptop

    i just downloaded avast antivirus and when i restart my computer my wifi internet connection is turned off.

    its every time off when i start my pc

    so i went to acer epower configuration and select wlan on(activated)
    theres also the option to activate blue tooth etc..
    and pres accept. my wifi connection is then on.

    but how do i put it always automaticly on when i start my pc

    i dont no if its have to do with avast program

    i have windows vista on my pc and the acer empower technology software preinstalled.

    help me please what the problem is and to fixed it

    Avast should have not impact if its just the AV, and not firewall. If firewall just add a rule for your local subnet using any adapter. Sometimes they only select what is active at the time of install.

    I'm running into the same problems with auto connection too. I couldn't auto connect to my school's wireless network so i brought it to their tech dept. They deleted eNET management and now I can't load network settings, sharing, etc under start, or it takes 5 min to load the connect to a network menu. same probs even after i reinstalled enet management. so my advice is whatever you do don't delete any of the empowering technology programs.

    i think it's just some networks acer will auto connect you and some it won't and you have to manually do it. let me know if you get any more help

    yes i have the same problems with connection

    for tips look at acer memory leak topic.

    there are some great tips to have a better memory performences
    and how to deal with acer empower . you can uncheck acers start up

    and check also out this software its called start up inspector
    very good . i also gonna download it.

    and windows tweaks
