There are 3 computers using windows 7 connected to the same router, and each can access the shared files on the other computers

When the computers are in the same network I just have to type
"\\XXXXX-PC" in the address bar, or simply by clicking the network icon on the desktop

Is it still possible to access the files on the other two computers when my laptop is connected to other network??(just type in something like "\\ip address"??)

Not quite that easy because your going through firewalls. Then the IP address is not visable to the www.

I don't think this would be possible unless the two networks are interconnected (both Routers are aware of each others presence) in some way.

So then you're next option would be some type of Remote Access such as TeamViewer, Remote Desktop, setting up a VPN, LogMeIn or similar.

If those three computers are on three different subnets, then it would still work by typing "\\IP adress." The problem you run into is that your router has to be aware of the other subnets. Most home routers will simply refuse to assign each computer connected to it a different subnet.

What are you exactly trying to do.

If your router can do DD-WRT for example, you can install a OpenVPN flavored version. Then use VPN to connect to your home network router and you can access files like you were at home.

Second option could be Hamachi: https://secure.logmein.com/products/hamachi2/

Drawback is that you need to have that running on the computer you wish to connect to.
