    Hi all,

I am buying today a macbook and I need some help deciding whether or not to include the usb modem (for additional 35 pounds). At home I have a good adsl connection (not wireless yet) and a very good windows based desktop. I wanted to use at home the same connection for the macbook (not wireless as my lounge is not that big anyway and I can live with a small cable lying around) but then I thought that it won't cost me that more to get a wireless router for both desktop and macbook.
    So my question is:

Can you suggest a router that I can plug the cable from my desktop and at the same time have wireless access from the macbook (wired desktop & wireless macbook)?

    thanks

    GA

I am not sure what you later questiong has todo with the USB modem. The USB modem is not for DSL but for old fasioned dial up over a telephone line.

Pretty much any router can do what you ask. Most wireless routers have a build in 4 port ethernet switch. I can recommend the Buffalo WHR-G54S. Stable and good value for money.
