    hello, well i have a compaq presario 19000 xl 163 and the problem is that i dont have connection for DSL, i want to know if there is a card i can buy to be able to connect to internet by DSL

    Well, assuming you have a DSL router, all you really need is a network cable to connect to the notebook.

    Of course, to go wireless, you need a wireless router, and a wireless card.

    no, i dont have a DSL router thats the problem, i want to know wich one i can buy for my notebook

    nope, i dont have anything, that is what i want to know, i want to know wich one will work better with my computer, i want to get acces to internet by DSL but my computer does not have a DSL port, thats the problem

    Before I had a router, I would directly connect from my computer via the network card, which would dial up to the isp server. But the problem that you might have is that your isp software says that there is no network card,

    well that's what mine said :(
