Okay, so I had my network all set up beautifully, until I reformatted and did a clean install on my 1530. Now I'm having network issues....

Anyways, I have a desktop (XP) which is wired to the router. My laptop (Vista) obviously is wireless. My laptop can see my XP machine no problem. Access files no problem. Here's the thing... the desktop cannot see my laptop whatsoever! I've got the settings all exactly the same as they were before the reformat. Could I have missed a driver during the reinstall? I dunno... any insight here would be appreciated as this is driving me CRAZY!

I have no freakin idea! lol

I tried...yet again to turn the laptop's firewall off, checked my xp machine, STILL didn't see it.
I turned the firewall back on....and whamo! It could be seen on the desktop! Weird!

Vista firewall and XP firewall sometimes have issue with File and printer sharing service. On XP it can be missing in firewall and you need to add it again, and on Vista it just needsto be turned off and on. I don't know why, and I have seen it only twice in my life.

But good for you anyways! :)

    Cheers, Ivan
