    Hi all,

I'm having a weird problem. My adhoc home network was working perfectly until today. All of a sudden my laptop's XP can't find any network. The strange thing is, XP prompts me that yellow balloon saying wireless networks were detected, but when I click on it there is no network listed and refreshing doesn't help. This makes me think it's a configuration problem. Tried a program called Netstumbler and it detected my wireless network, and using the Atheros client I could connect to my PC (host), but if I try to use Windows Zero Configuration it doesn't work. I would like to keep using WZC, but can't figure whats wrong. Any ideas will be very appreciated.

    Thanks in advance,
    Marcelino

Try using system restore and see if it start working again. Roll back to a date that you know was good, and before the updates, like Tuesday. I have mine auto updater to just notify me when there are updates. I always look to see what the updates are for. So if I start having problems, I at least have a starting point.

Unfortunately I can´t do that. My notebook is an EEE PC, and I have system restore disabled to save resources and disk space.

    Any other suggestions?

    Thanks

Have you tried a manual setup?

Look under advanced settings (Wireless Networks) and see if you have it setup for adhoc or AP only. May want to toggle it.

    Already tried that, no luck.

It´s correctly set as adhoc connection.

Still don´t know what else to do... but thanks for trying guys :)
