    XP desktop wil not find my vista laptop

    Desktop - XPSP3
    Laptop - Vista 32 bit

    My laptop finds all my other computers on my network but my desktop will only find the other xp computer on my network.

    Any ideas?

    Can you access it by typing \\computer_name or \\IP in the address bar of Windows explorer ?

    ok so I can access it by typing in my computer name, but is there a quicker way to get to it faster?

    You can create a shortcut or map the shared folder/drive as a network drive. Sorry, but I don't know why it is not listed in your network or how to fix it.
