    Hey.....
    the wlan is not working in xp.The laptop model is Asus X51R and the manufacturer of the wlan is Atheros and the model is Atheros AR5005X.
    Plz help.

    Did you just switch over from _Vista to XP? If so, you're going to need to go looking for the XP-specific drivers for the NIC.

    Make sure that you have set the TCP/IP, and that IP and DNS address is set to be obtained automatically on your wireless card and that your router DHCP is enable.
