    Hi,

I posted this already over the HP forum, but I just want to check it over here to see if anybody is having a problem with the wireless button under the F8 key with this model. Mine for some reason don't work anymore and pretty much the only way I get connected now through wireless is either go through the network connection wizard again or through a shortcut I set up for the wireless function. It's a CTO model with built in B/G wireless card. Thanx again for the response.

How long ago did you purchase yours? My zv5000z hasn't any any challenges with that button so far. I have used it several times, and it turns on and off as it should. You should probably contact Warranty Support as soon as possible. It is possible that the contact under the button is dirty or cracked. Either way, that is an issue that should be covered under warranty. Just don't tell them that you use the button 15 times a day, because HP's warranty covers hardware defects, not issues that arise from normal 'wear & tear'.

    Good luck - cheers,

    Stevo

    Hi,

Thanx for the response Stevo. Well I try it again today at my school and it for some weird reason, work now. I don't know if it's different area or spacing or anything of that nature, but I don't think it should make a difference. My notebook is barely a month old, infact I think it still less than 2 weeks old counting the time when they build it to the time it was shipped. A little off topic, if there is a bad pixel on the computer, is there anyway to fix this problem. Cuz I think the return for Tech Depot is already passed with their 14 days policy or so. I think with HP you need at least 4 dead pixels to classify as it as officially dead so I don't really know if they going to fix it for you with just one dead pixel. Anyhow, thanx again for the response.
