I have a Netgear wireless G router. One of my desktops is connected to the router by wire and my downstairs desktop is connected by a netgear wireless G USB adapter. I am not a noob and have hooked up many wireless networks before, but I am having a real problem with this. I followed the setup wizard to setup up the network and it said I did everything successfully. The desktop that is connected by wire is fine and I have no problems with it. It's the desktop that is connected by the wireless USB adapter that is giving me all the problems (this desktop has vista). It will connect to the network fine, but then after a little bit it just disconnects. Then I just reconnect and repeat. The signal strength is "Very good", I made sure that the computer would only connect to my network and it still disconnects. I have no clue what to do. Please help me.

    Thanks

Take a look at your energy (power) saver settings. You may also have energy saving settings under the advanced port settings. Make sure your pc is not shutting down the wireless to save power. If you have the option to keep alive, you may want to activate it.

    Perhaps interference? Metallic obstacles?
Have you try updating the drivers and firmware yet?
