dumb question but is the wireless switch on the front or side of the laptop flipped on?

device manager only checks drivers as far as i know not the actual components themselves but i could be wrong on this.

it chould be possible that one or both of the wires connecting the wireless adapter to the computer came loose or something, see if you can find a dissassebling tutorial for your laptop and see about removing the cover for your wireless adapter and checking those wires.

My a200-th7 doesn't seem to have a ADAPTER Cover so I can't help you with checking the adapter physically.

maybe you accidently turned it off the radio. [FN] + wireless key.
or maybe its turned off in bios.. (this normally wont allow it to even show up in device manager)
worse case, your card crapped itself. Buy new one.
