Recently, I've come up with a crazy idea. I want to use an old laptop as a connector to my desktop PC. I figured that I could take out everything except the battery, screen, keyboard, and trackpad (although I doubt the three latter can be taken out easily anyway), connect the trackpad and keyboard to a wireless transmitter that's recieved by the desktop, and a wireless reciever to the screen, with a transmitter connected to the VGA port or HDMI port on the desktop. But here's the problem: I don't know that much about the inner workings of laptops, except replacing things like hard drives or RAM, and I certainly don't know much about wireless things. How would I go about connecting the parts of the laptop to a wireless transmitter, and what kind of transmitter would I use?

    Thanks for any help.
