I just bought a new e1505 with Dell's draft n (Dell Wireless 1500,Minicard,USfor Inspiron) option.
I also bought (not from Dell) the NETGEAR WNR834B IEEE802.11n draft specification wireless router, which is the one Dell recommends as its draft N option.

When I am connected by LAN I am able to view my desktop computer's shared folders and navigate through them with no problem.

When I try to do this same thing connected with the wireless it takes a very long time to open and view each folder and will sometimes sit and think for minutes until it displays the folder's contents. This seems odd to me because it can get Internet access with no problems, only acts up while looking at shared folders.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

So you are saying that this is a common problem that has been around for awhile?

Have you checked your wireless security settings? I can connect to my wired and wireless computers without any such delays. Have you also checked your workgroup and computer security settings?

Hmmm I had a similar problem before. All my computers/Laptops are given static ip's, and are also in the same workgroup. Make sure of that 1st. next thing to check is that the subnet for the computers are the same ( this was the problem which didnt allow me to share files properly). The subnet is the 255.255.255.255 <== something like that (you can change it to whatever you want, but make sure its the same for all the computers on your Lan). Good Luck, hope that fixes your prob.
