This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    If I am downloading a large file wirlessly can I plug my computer into the router and continue the same download wired? and would it be quicker?

    Depending upon the site speed, yes. I have done this, by turning off /disable the wireless to force it over to the wired. I do not do it very often, so I'm not sure on the finer details. Give it a try.
