    Wireless problem on Toshiba

    Hey guys, i just purchased a toshiba T130 from bestbuy, the laptop constantly drops the internet when its on battery even if its max bar signal, its fine when the ac is plugged in. I've tried playing with the power settings but had no luck, help T_T

    btw, the network card is a Realtek RTL8191SE Wireless LAN 802.11n and my router is a D-link 1310 wbr

    There was a similar post recently where problems like yours were resolved by turning off power management under Windows 7.
    Said to be caused by more aggressive power management settings under Win 7, so if you are in fact using Win 7 you may wanna give it a try.

    thanks download, its working fine now. I turned it to max performance mode but put brightness down to 63%. is there any other way i can save some power? its been 30 minutes and my battery dropped from 100 to 94 already

    If it's really draining your battery at 6% rate in 30 minutes than it's very good.
    You could edit advanced settings in power management (for power saving plan) and put WiFi in maximal performance in that mode/power plan too.
    I suppose that should be enough but I can't verify it as I am currently running Vista.
