    Wireless printer is very slow?

    I have a Lexmark X4550 or something of that nature, and it is really slow printing. When I click print, it takes a minute or two to even start printing and once it starts, it seems like it prints one line at a time. It takes about 30 seconds to print a page full of just text. Can anyone tell me why it is so slow? My internet is very fast, if that has anything to do with it.

    What is the wireless speed? graphic files are large.

    It's 802.11g as far as I know. It's a WiFi printer.

    See if you can add more ram to the printer. Then set your pc to not print in back ground. This way it will shoot the whole file. But like I said earlier, graphic files are large. I have 192 meg in my printer. The largest dump was 100+ 2 sided, took it all with no problem. But mine is a true network printer. You may want to keep yours in background printing if it takes that long. My NB is 11g and it never takes that long. Now may devices do you have on your 11g network? Everyone takes a chunk of bandwidth. Also are you PS mode or or something else. I found that PS was considerbly slower, and had problems with some web pages.
