Currently have verizon online dsl modem 6100 and the linksys wrt54g. Will be getting road runner cable installed next week.

I have a dell inspiron 6000 laptop. I am in bridge mode with my internet. My problem is that i detect my connection. However, when i try to connect, it tries to connect automatically but this would not work because when i went to wireless network properties, i see my connection as manual?

When i click on my connection and click on properties, i see network authentication open, data encription WEP and my network has the wrong password. Can someone tell me how can i save my password correctly so that i can use that when connecting to my wireless connection?

I keep on typing my network key and then click on Ok but then it never saves it. I know this b/c when i try to connect to my wireless, it shows manual and that when i go back to the wireless network and click properties, i see my network key is the wrong way that is saved.

Can someone help me fix this problem? I use XP by the way.

For that go control panel then windows security center then windows Firewall
Then click on Change settings then it will ask for your permission to continue , grant it
then click on the Exception tab then scroll down to Wireless Portable Devices then click next and go for apply, then OK .I think now it will work.
