here is the scenario i got a linksys N router and tried setting up a network using my two HP Vista Home premium Laptops and Gateway desktop SP2. the router is set up on Desktop which is connect tot he router via Ethernet and the laptops are connected wirelessly. on my laptop(dv6575) when i check the plp on the network and i can see everyone on the network. but when i go onto the other laptop (dv2615) i can see the XP SP2 desktop and not the DV6575 same thing happens when i go onto the desktop i can only see the dv2615 pc and not the dv6575. take in mind that file sharing is on on all laptops and we all have the same workgroup name.

when i use windows media player 11 to share music via gateway on the dv6575 i can connect to everyone on the network but when i go on to the desktop and dv2615 i connect to them via unknown device and they cannot access my music can anyone explain whats causing that to me plz...........
