Hi sorry for the weird title but if it caught your eye then it did its job. Anyway I'm not very smart or technologically advanced but I recently got my first notebook (ibook) and need to get a wireless router. I currently have comcast highspeed cable hooked into a p4 desktop. I was hoping that you I could just keep the p4 wired and have a wireless for the ibook.

So if you had any suggestions for the following questions it would be much appreciated.
    A) what's the easiest to install
    B) what is the most reasonably priced
    C) what works well with comcast and mac
    D) is there a way to connect the printer to a router? (not that important)
    E) finally is a router firewall that important?

    many thanks in advance

They are all fairly easy to install. Connect the internet connection to the router and the PCs to the router, the PC wired and the notebook wirelessly. I would buy on price as most will work with the P4 box and ibook. If you are willing to do the rebate thing, you can probably get one for less than $30. Check on SlickDeals and FatWallet. They do make routers with a usb or parallell ports for wireless printing. They also make wireless print servers. Good Luck.

Netgear is the easiest to install and it is one of my favorite router brands. Im a Linksys user currently, but will be switching to netgear shortly

Eh, im not even sure. Any of there G routers would be great. Im leaning toward an A router of theres since my next laptop comming will have A wireless in it.

But other than that, i don't believe there are any bad netgear routers

Let us know how the setup went. Linksys can be hard to setup compared to other router brands. But you will be happy with the results
