You could try resetting the router. If that doesn't help, you could try reseting the router to factory settings, and then apply any custom settings you have.

This might also have nothing to do with the router - it could be your laptop. Since you have software logging itself out, I think that the problem might be the computer. Have you done a thorough virus/trojan/malware scan lately?

What have you done plenty of times?

Have you rest the router? Have you done a factory reset? Have you checked for updated firmware? Have you called your ISP and asked if there are any current problems?

done both of them things. but haven't called isp but how can it do with them?
also i do host a server.exe program on another pc but it's been like this before it was hosting a small game server so this shouldn't affect it right?

If you don't throttle the bandwidth, it could be that all available bandwidth is being gobbled up by the server. You said this is a fairly recent problem, correct? If so, what did you install/change when the problem started?

What happens if you disable the server.exe applicatoin? Also, do you do any file sharing? If your router is getting hammered by requests from outside, it may cause some odd problems.

It could be that you are reaching the max simultaneous connections that the router can handle. Go to smallnetbuilder.com and check to see how may your router supports.
