Ok I have qwest dsl 1.5Mpbs and we want wireless internet. Will wireless Internet slow down our connection? I want to use my laptop wireless and my xbox 360 and our desktop. Not that only 2 thinks will be connected to the internet at one time. it will will either be my laptop and our desktop or my xbox 360 and our desk top. With our wired connection right now I can have my xbox 360 connected and our desktop connected with no problems but will wireless make our connection slower? Thanks!

Should be fine for browsing and light use. If you download/upload.. yes it will slow down the connection.

Nope, your wireless speed is Independent from the modem-ISP speed.

Will it slow down your throughput if everyone is using internet at the same time or transferring files? Yes, it is shared bandwidth in your home. The 1.5Mbps will remain the same but your effective throughput will be reduced.
