Hey I am a verizon internet user. I have a westell Versalink 327w and when I enter the modem through either mozilla or IE I get to the versalink wireless gateway. This is were you can change settings with your router obviously. But it takes me to the edit settings page straight away and every link, like advanced or wireless takes me back to the same page. When I hover over advanced or any other option with my mouse it shows at the bottom that its going to take me to edit settings too

I know I need to call verizon but man if you have ever tried calling them %90 of the time you get someone who does not speak good english and it makes it very difficult to talk to them.

Any advice? I have done basic things like reset my router.

Is this a new internet connection?

That will occur (if I am reading you correctly) if you are just setting up your DSL connection because the device needs to be configured with your username and password.

Did you already attempt to set up por forwarding (and mess things up)? Make any changes at all?

I assume that the modem allows you to connect to other pages correctly other than the router interface?

it didnt let me go to any other link. I fixed the problem though : ) the page it tok me took was a page for changing my password and when I did it I guess I just put it what the password was already. So I called up verizon and he had me put in admin admin for username and password and now its works fine. Only thing is I still cant figure out port forwarding very well. I got the the section for it but its still confusing. I can not find any good guides for a westell versalink 327w on the internet that is for noobs like me

    thanks : )

Find which port you need to open and what the IP address of your computer is (ipconfig).

    Then enter the settings.
