Hey all, I got an ACER ASPIRE ONE 532H netbook with Windows 7, and it's awesome, except for the wireless drops out after a while, as in it states "No connections" available. I suspect it gets hot, and something switches it off.

I've modified all the power settings, updated all the drivers, and done all the windows updates, but nothing has helped. Is there a way, possibly a registry setting, that I can force it to always stay on? I bought it on Ebay and would rather not have to send it back to the factory!

By "modified all power settings" do you also mean that you've disabled power saving for Wi-Fi card? Set it to max performance/no power saving and go to device manager and make sure that the option "allow computer to switch off the device..." is un-checked.

Regarding the power settings, yes that's what I did.

As for the "allow computer to switch off the device" checkbox, it's always been unchecked. Also in device manager it says This device is working properly even when it isn't.

If the Wi-Fi card is easily accessible take it out and re-seat it in the slot again, also make sure the both antennas are properly connected.
If you have another notebook/netbook you may swap the cards to rule out or confirm hardware failure.
