Since reinstalling Windows on my Fujitsu Amilo v2000, and getting the latest Intel driver installed, I can connect to my Netgear router fine, immediately at excellent quality 54mbps. However, after a few minutes, this gradually drops to eventually being 1.0mbps, fair quality, presumably the lowest it can be?

Turning the wireless button off and back on again causes it to go straight back to maximum, but this isn't what I want to have to do all the time!

Any thoughts? (Apologies if this has already been asked, I've searched and searched!)

    Just to add, that's a 2200BG adapter.

The 2200 card is nothing but trouble. I would try different drivers for the card by doing some google searches. or find the thread in this wireless forum, and read about the different things that can help with your situation.

I had this problem on my Thinkpad with the 2200bg card about two months ago. ..i would have to reconnect or power on/off the card to get it back to 54, but it would go right back down in a few minutes...wouldn't matter if i was right next to the **** router. I tried everything in that 49 page thread before it was 49 pages, so you can see people are still having issues with the card. Anyway, after two days of trouble shooting it, i had to call IBM and sent the Thinkpad in.
