    Wireless dBi? and Range

    Some said that for every 3 dBi you increase your wifi antenna that it would double your range. Is this true?

    Yes but you also increase noise. Since this normally on the routers side the pc does not, so in most case only about 25%. If your setting up a bridge between between to AP it's a big plus. Most of the newer routers have started putting the antennas inside so they can not be changed or upgraded. Mfg say it due to users not positioning the antennas correctly. I think it's to save money.
