    Wireless connectivity Issues on my Dell

    A couple of days ago bought a DLINK wireless ASDL modem and router I was annoyed at how it looked like I spent money getting the best wireless card from my 700m and getting rubbish connection.

    I then discovered that I can change on the wireless setting to use the "Intel Proset/wireless" setting or "Microsoft client."

    Default that came on my Dell is microsoft client and I get connection problems, switch to the Intel Proset/wireless setting and my connection status box changes and everything is strong and connections fast and great.

    Whats the difference between using the Microsoft client and Intel Proset/wireless, which is best. Because for me Intel Proset/wireless is the only one that works for me.

    The difference? One works for you and one doesn't.
    Which is best? I would say the one that works is probably the best.

    There isn't a big differnece between the two. MS client is a default wireless connector with XP. Intel ProSet is standard if you get intel wireless card, and therefore that might be the reason it is working better with your laptop.

    On mine, I always use Intel because i've had problems with MS Client and my wireless card.
