Not the typical wireless problem. Today I turned on my computer and my wireless connection is not working (not even available). When I highlight the connection 1394 it says TCP/IP is not enabled for this connection. Whern I try repairing Connection 2 it says unable to renew IP address. As told by hp suppourt I removed the built in wireless card and reinstalled it. I also had a fresh install of windows. I am still unable to have a wireless connection. Please help. I have a dv6000z. Thank you.

1394 = firewire port i believe, has nothing to do with internet connection!

Enable DCHP Computer management>Services>DCHP started/automatic,also check to see if your wirless card is enabled, and the drivers are installed.

If you have a wireless router reboot your whole system. It may be your wrt is hung up and/or died.

Thanks all. Hp sent me a box to fix the problem. Today while working on my computer the connection all of a sudden just pops up on the tray and works again. Could it be a problem with the antenna connection?

Install Internet Protocol(TCP/IP) under the connections properties. If you dont have DHCP you also need to assign an IP address
