Hi guys I have a very minor problem regarding my wireless conncecion. Everytime I restart my computer it takes a long time to get connected to internet and sometimes says connection has a "limited access". Is there a trick to make it connect faster upon restart?

I have a old dell computer and and when I restart my computer and fired up a web browser it is connected right away unlike my new one.

My OS is windows 7 home premium 64 bit

How old is your wireless router? Some new wireless cards have issues with old ones. Have you unplugged it and plugged it back in recently? Sometimes you need to clear its cache.

I have a 6 year old XP desktop that does this and it is hard wired to the router. My laptop does not do this and It is wireless to the the router. I increased the start up speed some by getting rid of all the old junk files and defragging it. I also ran a registry tool. I believe it is the small amount of ram on the desktop that is slowing things down.

I'm confused, is this issue with your old desktop or your new laptop/desktop?

It appears his old one works fine and his new laptop has a problem going onto the web. Without more info I suspect something other than the router could be the problem.
