    Hello :)

I have a bit of a problem after being connected to the internet. I'll be checking email or surfing etc. and my connection drops mysteriously. I have a good to strong signal from where I'm at, which is the library at the college I attend. I have an Hp Pavilion dv2550se with built in wireless, and when it mysteriously disconnects, the LED light is orange which indicates the adapter if off, where when it is on, the light is blue. I've tried turning the wireless switch on(enabled) to off(disabled) back to on(enabled), and nothing happens; the light is still orange. I can't find any help in Microsoft Help, naturally, and the wireless assistant doesn't assist very well either.

The only short-term solution I've found was just to restart the laptop, where when I log in, the light is blue.

    Any thoughts and/or fixes?

    Thanks :)

Sorry for double posting, but I think I might've solved the problem. I googled the phrase 'auto-disconnect in vista' and clicked on the first search result. I went to Network and Sharing Center in the control panel, then to Manage Network Connections, clicked on wireless adapter, clicked configure, clicked Power Management, then unchecked the box that said "Allow this computer to turn of this device to save power" or something like that.

Thanks for the help, kuncheesh :)
