Hey I live in a house full of 2.4ghz phones, tv av senders & other stuff
My wireless internet connection was always quite bad, I changed the channel on the hub to channel 13 and all the computers had to have their wireless device settings changed to search for devices on channels 1-13 rather than 1-11.

Now I get excellent connection and 54mbps not to mention the phone sounds better and the AV sender sends a better quality image to the other tv.

I recommend everybody to change to channel 13 hey!

I have similar problems with my connection at home. We are a completely wireless household. How do i change the channels to possibly improve my wireless signal?

you should be able to access your hub settings through typing an IP address in your browser, which should be in your instruction manual.
i changed the default channel from channel 1(the most used channel) to channel 13 (the channel which no phone etc uses)

then once you have done that, the computers will need to be changed also, you can do this in windows device manager/properties of wireless card. change the channel to 1-13 or 10-13 or just 13.

Not all routers support channel 13 unfortunately. Which wireless router are you using?

I am currently using a SMC Barricade Turbo SMC2404WBR router. I have tried to locate the place to change the channel on my computer and am having no luck, i am still looking for my instruction manual to find the IP address, is there another location that the IP address can be found?

Channel 13 is only used in Japan so you will need Japanese firmware for your router and network cards if you dont have that functionality already.

That explains why my drivers and router don't support channel 13.

@UCHacker11 -- Check the gateway address on your network adapter. That is your router ip address.

Yeah 1-13 is permitted in Europe and 14 is in Japan. For US it is technically only 1-11. Anyway my bad about my previous statement. Got the numbers mixed up.
